Hotel La Rosa Negra is a family-run, three-star hotel on the Velika Plaža (Plazhi i Madh) side of Ulcinj, about 2 minutes on foot from the sand. It is a calm place: no bar scene, no alcohol served, children running between the pool and the beach, parents on the terrace with a coffee. Families from Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia and the diaspora in Germany, Switzerland and Austria come back year after year — many of them for the same two weeks every summer.

Is the food suitable for Muslim families?
Yes — like most hotels in Ulcinj, our kitchen cooks without pork, and no alcohol is used in the kitchen or served in the hotel. We do not hold a formal halal certificate; if that matters to you, write to us before you book and we will tell you honestly how the meat is sourced.
Is there really no alcohol, even in the room fridge or on the terrace?
Correct — the hotel is alcohol-free. The room fridges are empty for your own drinks, the café serves coffee, tea, fresh juices and soft drinks, and nothing alcoholic is sold at dinner or on the terrace. Guests who want a glass of wine find it in the beach restaurants 150 m away.
Can we come for Bajram or the summer holidays with a big family?
